Seriously, the Pac-10 has the worst officiating, of any major sports body, I have seen. WWU intramural ref's do a similar job. In honor/mockery of these terrible officials please use this posts comment thread to discuss your favorite/worst bad calls by Pac-10 officials.
When will Larry Scott do something about this? I agree with you, the WWU intramural refs are about the same and I got thrown out of a basketball game one time for telling them how to do their job!!

ReplyDeleteOne of the worst calls I have seen was earlier in the year in the ASU versus UW game. MBA got fouled by somebody and the refs put Isaah Thomas on the line and even let him shoot a free throw, which he missed. Then they realized their mistake and got a confused and concerned about. So they had MBA retake the free throws. How do you confuse the tallest guy on the court and the shortest guy?
ReplyDeleteThere was a wonderful call in football a few years ago, when Oregon recovered an onside kick against Tennessee, despite the fact the kick travelled roughly 5 yards less than it needed to. At least they hire similarly talented refs across the board.
